Sustainable and economical heating with solar heat.

In order to reduce energy costs and reduce the use of fossil fuels, Bosman Van Zaal recommends the use of solar heat in some cases. Depending on the production location, heating behaviour and the requirements of the crop and the customer, we can install solar heat collectors. This can even produce savings of 100% on energy costs.

Bosman Van Zaal has been producing and installing solar thermal collectors since 2006. We have now installed collector panels in 7 different countries for 15 different customers. In total, we have a collector field of around 75,000 m2. We manufacture the solar thermal collectors in our own factory. For this purpose, we make use of our experience of 100 years in horticultural technology. By combining this knowledge, we have developed a unique and cost-effective solar thermal system.

The system can possibly be fitted into an existing installation, depending on the current situation. We can also produce and install complete climate installations.

Holland Orchids

In Guatemala, we constructed a 4,250 m2 solar heat collector field for the cultivation of cymbidium.

Bilashaka

In Kenya, we constructed a 10,000 m2 solar heat collector field for growing roses in 2006.

Van Kleef Roses

In Kenya, we constructed a 3,800 m2 solar heat collector field for growing roses in 2006.

LVG Plants

In South Africa, we constructed an 11,500 m2 collector field in 2015 and 2016 for heating potted plants at night.

Flower Breeder

In Ethiopia, we supplied a 2,000 m2 collector field to heat 15,000 m2 of greenhouse space with potted plants in 2022.

Green Crisp Farming

In Namibia, we constructed a solar heat collector field of 3,915 m2 in 2014, for the cultivation of vegetables.

Maranque Plants

In Ethiopia, we constructed a solar heat collector field of 2,784 m2 in 2013, for the cultivation of cut flowers.

Dümmen Orange

In Kenya, we constructed a 1,460 m2 solar heat collector field for growing roses in 2008.

BASF

In Ethiopia, we constructed a 4,170 m2 collector field to heat 18,000 m2 of greenhouse space used to grow vegetable seeds.

Wagagai

In Uganda, we constructed a collector field totalling 4,700 m2 in 2009 and 2016 for the propagation of potted plants.

Agro Care

In Morocco, we constructed a 1,000 m2 solar heat collector field for growing tomatoes in 2013.
